Dataset Title TARA Expedition 2013: Continuous oceanographic measurements in the Arctic ocean
Dataset Purpose Tara Expedition has contributed to the international effort to study the Arctic ecosystem before a likely change in climate regime, providing reference data on the ecological status of circumarctic waters.
Dataset Abstract In 2013 the Tara Expedition conducted studies in the Arctic Ocean during 8 months. The data collected included continuous measurements of SST, SSS and pCO2, fCO2, which is being analysed in the laboratory at L'OCEAN.
Acquisition Methodology The measurements were continuously taken during the 8 months, apart from when there was more more than 30-40% of sea ice cover. Bottles were used for calibration, but there was not possible to calibrate on board, hence the calibration was done a posteriori.
